This has been quite a busy week for me! I’ve been to London twice (Wednesday and Friday) and attended the University Sportsball on Thursday night

The first trip to London was because I had a job-interview with Moloney Search. They are a headhunting company and are specialized in headhunting graduates. In my case, the job-interview was actually for tesco.com, the online e-commerce devision of tesco. Tesco.com serves over 200,000 customers a week. The idea behind it is actually quite cool, you can order your groceries online and they will be delivered directly to your home. Here’s a link to the description of the graduate programme.

While waiting for my flight back to Aberdeen, I got a call back from Moloney Search that they were pretty happy with my interview and that the next stage would be an assessment day at tesco.com, which followed on Friday.

The assessment day was quite demanding, we had to do two tests (a business decision- and an abstract reasoning test) and an interview with a tesco.com manager. The atmosphere at tesco.com was pretty relaxed and it was really interesting to see how those assessment days work and what to expect from them in the future.

Next week I will get feedback on how I’ve done at the assessment day! But now, I have got to start working on my dissertation again!!!!

Hey guys, it has been a while since my last comment but here’s finally something new to talk about. Last weekend, my brother Julian and I went to Shetland! There is a direct ferry from Aberdeen to Lerwick (northernmost town in the UK, about 7,000 inhabitants!). It takes about 12 hours and costs only £26. Shetland is just amazing, the nature is marvelous and the people were really friendly! Have a look at our flickr-photos!
